At the World Cup 2026, the top two of each of the 12 groups reach the Round of 32 — and so do the 8 best third-placed teams. This table ranks the 12 teams that finished 3rd in their group against each other; the top 8 (highlighted “IN”) qualify and the bottom 4 are eliminated. They're ordered by points, then goal difference (GD), goals scored (GF), fair-play (FP), and finally FIFA ranking. It updates live as scores change — which is what decides which thirds slot into the bracket.
With the groups down to their final matches, we simulate the remaining games tens of thousands of times to estimate each team's chances.
